This fresh, overscaled design evokes an artist’s brush stokes. Hand-woven and hand-dyed in Tibet, this rug reinterprets the ancient Central Asian ikat textile craft, using the finest Tibetan wool to achieve a softly heathered abrash. Alternating rows of wool loop and wool-and-silk cut pile create a ribbed, textured background; the nonrepeating pattern of Impression is all cut pile in a luxurious blend of silk and wool.
